Principal® dental insurance is usually offered through employers, and many parents first see it during open enrollment at a new job. If your child is covered by a Principal dental plan, Hopscotch Children’s Dentistry in Concord is ready to help you use it.
Yes. We are in-network with Principal dental plans. Principal’s PPO network is one of the larger dental networks in the country, and several other insurers also use it for their own plans.
Good to know: Principal also sells a Dental Access Plan directly to consumers, and that product is a discount program rather than insurance. If your card mentions the Dental Access Plan, tell us so we can explain your costs correctly.
Principal lets employers choose deductibles, coinsurance levels, and annual maximums, so two families with “Principal” cards can have quite different benefits. As a general guide, preventive care such as cleanings and digital X-rays is often covered at or near 100%. Basic care like fillings or silver diamine fluoride is commonly covered around 70–80%, and major care near 50%.
