Yes. We are in-network with MetLife dental plans. MetLife’s PPO plans use the Preferred Dentist Program (PDP Plus) network, where participating dentists agree to negotiated fees. That typically means a lower cost to your family compared with an out-of-network office. MetLife’s dental HMO in California is provided by SafeGuard, a MetLife company; under those plans, pediatric specialty visits require pre-approval arranged by your selected general dentist.
Preventive services — exams, cleanings, and fluoride — are usually covered at or near 100%. Many plans also cover sealants on permanent molars for children within an age range.
