Ameritas dental plans come to Concord families in two ways: through an employer or purchased directly by parents. Either way, Hopscotch Children’s Dentistry accepts Ameritas, and Dr. Yasmine Zaeni’s team will help you understand what your child’s plan includes before the first appointment.
Yes — we are in-network with Ameritas. Staying in-network typically means lower out-of-pocket costs, because the fees for covered services are pre-negotiated. We submit claims to Ameritas for you, so there’s no paperwork to mail after the visit.
Preventive care — checkups and cleanings and digital X-rays — is usually the most generously covered category, frequently at 100%. Basic treatment such as fillings is often covered around 70–80%, and major care like a baby root canal (pulpotomy) often closer to 50%.
If you bought an individual Ameritas plan yourself, read the waiting periods closely. Many individually purchased dental plans cover preventive visits right away but ask members to wait before basic or major services are covered. Employer plans may have different rules, or none at all.
