AlwaysCare isn’t a name every dental office recognizes, so parents sometimes call around before finding a practice that knows the plan. At Hopscotch Children’s Dentistry in Concord, we work with AlwaysCare dental plans and are happy to help your family use them for your child’s care.
Yes. We list AlwaysCare among the plans we’re in-network with. AlwaysCare dental plans are underwritten by Starmount Life Insurance Company, which is part of Unum, and most families have them through an employer. Your card may show AlwaysCare, Starmount, or Unum — bring whichever one you have, and we’ll sort out the details.
Group dental plans like AlwaysCare’s are usually organized into preventive, basic, and major classes. Preventive care — cleanings and exams plus sealants on back teeth on many plans — tends to receive the highest coverage, often 100%. Basic services such as fillings or silver diamine fluoride are commonly covered in part (around 70–80%), and major services usually at a lower share (around 50%). Your employer chooses the plan design, so exact levels vary.
